This page provides participation guidance for University of Tsukuba affiliates who are interested in the WIDE Project.
Participation
If you are affiliated with the University of Tsukuba (students are welcome) and would like to get involved with the WIDE Project, please contact us using the participation application form.
After you submit the form, the contact person will reach out to you and then guide you through the process of joining the WIDE Project.
Activities in the WIDE Project are conducted individually under each participant's own schedule management. If you are a student affiliated with a laboratory, please consult your academic advisor carefully.
For the time being, regular activity reports to the contact person are not required.
Insurance Requirement (University of Tsukuba Students)
Participation in the WIDE Project is treated as an extracurricular activity for University of Tsukuba students.
Therefore, we confirm enrollment by certificate in the following insurance programs, or equivalent insurance:
- Student Education and Research Accident Insurance (Gakkensai, 学研災)
- Liability Insurance Coupled with Gakkensai (Gakkenbai, 学研賠)
These insurance programs are introduced when you enroll at the University of Tsukuba. If you are not enrolled, you cannot participate.
For issuance of a certificate of insurance enrollment, please bring your student ID and contact the Student Life Division Student Support Team counter (Student Plaza 3F (Building 1D, 3F)).

Access is limited to email addresses issued by the University of Tsukuba Academic Computing and Communications Center.
